the importance of boredom

I used to hate being bored. I always felt like I needed to do something or be productive to check off my to do list for the day.

But lately, I'm learning that I need to be bored in order to be creative.

Like Austin Kleon wrote "Take time to be bored...Creative people need time to just sit around and do nothing" in his book Steal Like an Artist.
